Hand painted silk, a one off design this is for a wall painting stretched over a canvas frame treated with a waterproofing medium so glass is not necessary. A vibrant and beautiful image similar can also be designed for scarves or wall hanging. I am finding this type of image allows for free expression of a wonderful subject matter and have much joy in creating it.
Approx 60cmx90cm of two McCaws the Red and Blue variety and what a joy to create, I loved doing all the green to create a jungle image of these magnificient McCaws. This image is hung from a rod and one in the bottom also. Enjoy just looking at it I know I do.
I have never seen this blue poppy in Nature but is grows in Nepal, I saw a picture in a gardening book and was entranced by it so this is my version of it, the colour I fell in love with and poppies always are so very special for me. this is painted on fine Paj silk 55cm x 55cm and is suitable to wear or frame and hang on the wall or whatever use you may find for it. Just enjoy the beauty of the wonderful flower.

Painted on 8m/m Silk the mystical "Dragonfly" has always been an image I loved to create. This is my interpretation painted on a scarf to be worn or just hung on the wall. In American Indian Mythology, the Dragonfly represents breaking illusions, connection with Great Spirit and much more. This is relevant at some time in most of our lives. Enjoy this image as I do.

As the name suggests, an Elephant with its trunk curled under is considered to be an "Protection Elephant". This exotic elephant glows with colour and gold, I can almost hear the bells it is decorated with tinkling.

For many years I kept Chickens with the single rooster, I enjoy watching them scratch in the garden but not when they invaded my vegetable patch. The sun reflects glorious colours from their feathers, all shades from the Rhode Island Reds to Blacks. This little study reminds me of the times I sat and watched them.

I just love painting these Fantasy Houses, I do not know where they come from but it is something I have created for many years now, changing all the time.
