I have never seen this blue poppy in Nature but is grows in Nepal, I saw a picture in a gardening book and was entranced by it so this is my version of it, the colour I fell in love with and poppies always are so very special for me. this is painted on fine Paj silk 55cm x 55cm and is suitable to wear or frame and hang on the wall or whatever use you may find for it. Magical creatures of the night. This Owl study is based on the Boreal Owl (Aegolius Eunerous) found
in North America, it was named after the Greek God of the North Wind Boreas. In other parts of the
world it is known as Tengmalms Owl, a companion of Athena - Greek Goddess and Warrior Woman.
The owl represents wisdom in some cultures and in the American Red Indian Culture it is a Sacred
Medicine Bird, associated with clairvoyance, astral projection and magic, both black and white. If

The spotted Owl (strix occidentahs) is a small, nocturnal woodland owl, preferring dense, dark
coniferous forests. When roosting they will sit near the tree trunk where it is camouflaged against
the tree bark or the shadows. A docile creature and may be reluctant to fly even when approached
by humans. This is my inspiration for this study, if this little owl calls to you contact Marlene.

An Elephant with its trunk curled up is considered a "Lucky Elephant"; this richly decorated Indian Elephant is how I see it. Used on ceremonial occasions resplendent with bells, colour and gold this exotic study brings good luck wherever it may be.

As the name suggests, an Elephant with its trunk curled under is considered to be an "Protection Elephant". This exotic elephant glows with colour and gold, I can almost hear the bells it is decorated with tinkling.
Based on an Indian Ceremonial Elephant richly adorned and used for special occasions. May this rich and decorative study bring you "Protection" whichever way you want it.

For many years I kept Chickens with the single rooster, I enjoy watching them scratch in the garden but not when they invaded my vegetable patch. The sun reflects glorious colours from their feathers, all shades from the Rhode Island Reds to Blacks. This little study reminds me of the times I sat and watched them.

I just love painting these Fantasy Houses, I do not know where they come from but it is something I have created for many years now, changing all the time.
